Short Term mission trips

Rock Ministries of Philadelphia welcomes short-term mission teams to serve with us here in the inner city. The Rock’s neighborhood is among the poorest in America, with high rates of homelessness, fatherless homes, drug addiction and hopelessness. Our adjacent blocks comprise one of the most active drug areas in the country. All this means we are surrounded with nearly endless ministry opportunities!

Mission teams are invited to join us here for one day up to a week. Teams stay with us here in our facility and serve alongside our inner city missionaries. Service opportunities include:

street outreaches to our community
children’s activities in the neighborhood and with Rock youth ministry
evangelism
facility renovation and maintenance
VBS
participation in other Rock events

The standard cost of a mission trip is $30.00 per day.per person. This covers the cost of food, lodging, and various ministry expenses during your stay. One-day teams typically are not charged a fee. At this time, we are able to host teams of up to 25 people.

Virtually without exception, every missionary who has joined us here has gone home inspired, changed and motivated to serve Christ in a deeper way. Time on the inner city mission field is eye-opening, not only to the realities of life in urban America, but to the incredible ways God works among the downtrodden and underserved.
