A reporter doing a story on Rock Ministries asked, “How can a Christian ministry allow a kid to get punched in the face with a boxing glove.”
Our response was immediate…”A boxing glove in the hand of one of our kids is far better that a 45 caliber weapon! Would you rather see an athlete use a boxing glove under the Queensberry rules, or shot in the streets of Kensington?”
The Rock offers boxing lessons for boys and girls ages 8-24. Come dressed ready to workout and our coaches will get you started right away. As students progress, there are plenty of opportunities for competition in regional and even national amateur tournaments. The Rock boxing program is registered with USA Boxing, the organization that regulates amateur and Olympic boxing.
Schedule:
Girls’ boxing: Mondays • 4:30–7:00 pm • Ages 8-24
Boys’ boxing: Tuesdays and Thursdays • 4:30–7:00 pm • Ages 8-24
Additional training is offered as students advance. All training is free and includes a weekly Bible study.
